I've used XL since it was introduced. It's good stuff.

You guys use mono for toads? used to have nothing but big game 15# on all my reels, sometimes I might spool 2 with 17 if throwing a super spook in spring, frog etc. now big game 15# on 10 of 15 rods I use, the other 5 have pline c21 copolymer. thinking about switching to mostly the pline and keep 5 in big game.

I used both when I first came back to this game a couple of years ago. I used XL some in my younger years too, but to me the current generation of that line just doesn't seem like it is as strong as the old XL. Big Game on the other hand is a beast. If you are on a budget this is the stuff. I use Big Game in bulk, my flourocarbon is Vanish.

I really haven't used it that much. Really I couldn't tell you that much about it. I need some seat time with it. It was just one of those deals where I was in the store and wanted to try some flourocarbon but had no Idea what to buy so I grabbed a roll.

Big Game. It's 1/3 the cost of XL and still great line. If too much memory is the problem change it our more frequently. I only change the top 50% of my line each time anyway so it is very quick to do.

Vanish does just that.... Your lures will Vanish, your fish will Vanish, your sanity will Vanish.
Its just not a good line at all.

I use both lines. In my opinion, both are good but the Big Game gets too much memory too quickly. 100 percent

Big Game 12 and 15 lb for Bass fishing. XL only for Trout fishing on spinning reels, usually low-viz clear 6lb test.
Slide right, coming in .... Fish On!
