Congrats!! Looks like a great day!

Let me know when you want to make the 3 hrs drive over. I don't handle the heat well in July or August but luckily we had rain Thursday so the temp got up to only 96f on Friday so it was a late game decision, coach Windbreaker smile

I’m ready when you are. I don’t do heat well either!!

Thanks for the good post. 15# braid or 10# flouro with light rod is a lot of fun even on small fish but especially on the bigger ones.

noose knot link

Sorry Todd, should have done more investigating. Bad info is worse than no info.

Golly gee I found the name and a video for DC's "noose" knot. It's actually called the executioner's knot.

Like most of my buddies, I knew a dozen knots before this one taught to me by DC. I found this knot to be very strong on light lines and very fast to tie. You can double up your line also and tie this same knot but with even single line it's a strong knot with no slippage. I know DC and I have caught good DD fish on 10# fouro using this knot for over decades. I have caught a 25# cat and a few 30# plus buffalos as well.
