The past couple times I’ve gone out on the water, my motor will start up fine. It’ll easily drive slow, but anytime I try to get some speed and get on plane, it’ll shut the engine down back to a slow speed. This shut down will usually be accompanied by 6 long beeps as well. It’s a mercury 150hp motor on a nitro boat. I have plenty of oil, but may be thinking that there’s not enough gas getting to the motor or something clogged, etc. if you have any idea of how I can fix this, please let me know. Thank y’all!

Motor bogging down when throttling up I’d normally say fuel restriction. 6 beeps though is either TPS, MAS, ECM or a few other electrical sensors. I’d start with the tps since it’s doing it when you throttle up.

first thing is check all fuel and oil lines for cracks/air leaks, any air at all gets into the system and it will not let you plane out as the vacuum sucks the air easier than fuel. had that problem on another outboard and took me about a month to finally figure it out.

have you checked the engine mounted oil tank for full? it should be right up to the top if not you may set off the low oil alarm.

if you try to blow out the lines with a compressor only use about 5 psi max. a can or 3 of electronics cleaner is better (it is just compressed air in a can)

Following I got 250 four stroke did the exact same thing today I would shut mine down and reset and fire it back and it would run fine. I would stop fish want to move bam there it is mine is interment so I think it’s water in the fuel or bad gas I just bought Biden gas. Go to try fuel additive next weekend

sounds like you have a short to ground somewhere in the engine harness.
same thing happened to one i was working on. found a short in the harness at the front of harness. (forgot what sensor it was now)
