I use contact cement on boat and trailer carpet.

https://www.amazon.com/00271-Weldwood-Original-Contact-Cement/dp/B0006MXRY8

Donโ€™t use around flames or smoke. It is blow your house up explosive.

same, weldwood contact cement. if it has walls and is enclosed open all the ventilation you can.

buy some throwaway brushes, they are done when you are due to the glue.

have to coat both surfaces so buy enough, when you apply the carpet be really sure it is where you want it, light pressure and the glue is there for good. use something to push the surfaces together, wood or rubber roller or block of 2x4 rubbed on it with pressure.

should last for a lot of yrs.
