Folks who don't like IPAs should stick with diet beer.

Y'all know light beer was made so more women would drink beer.

IPA was invented to keep good beer from going bad. To overcome this problem they made it taste bad before they shipped it.

I see a good portion of you like your beer like you do your violence...

According to that reasoning, that's why I can't stand the taste now? I never got my mouth washed out with soap, I just got swatted?

Pretty shaky hypothesis imo unless you also assume any non-violent attention received by a caretaker as a positive.

I'll admit, I wasn't sure how I felt about the first couple dozen IPAs I tried.
But, persistence is key. The bar I spent the majority of my naval career in had 10% IPAs for 12 bucks a pitcher. When the price/reward ratio is that good, you learn to love them.
Don't get me wrong, there is some absolute swill out there. But, once you find the ones you like it makes it so hard to go back to anything light.

With the exception of Miller.
