Been on several, growing up it was our family vaca every year. They are fun but I’ve had my fill, last one was to show the kids and there was rumor of a cold virus going around. We came home a a chit show of unimaginable proportions, that was March of 2020. Go try a few, don’t let other sway you.

Been on 5 or 6 I really enjoy them!! pick where you want to go then get on the ship and don't have to worry with anything else except what to eat, what show to see, then when you get to destination what excursion you want to do!! I would go again in a heartbeat cheer

We've been on quite a few and enjoyed them all, but probably won't go again because there isn't another area that we are interested in seeing.

I said early in the thread I just didn't want to go but I did consider an American River cruise but they are very expensive.

I'm out on cruises. Too many incidents of the ships becoming rapid spreading virus prisons including the china flu. I remember a few years back, the one that was stranded for days and thousands of people puking and poopin off the side of the ship. No thank you.

Not a germophobe or a masker here, but to me, too many people crammed together in a small place is a petri dish experiment.

Went several years ago on an Alaska cruise. It was ok, but not something I care to do again. There are much better options for vacation in my opinion.

Only one for us was 7 day Alaska on princess from anchorage to Vancouver. We enjoyed every day with 3 side trips. At the end we were really ready to disembark as there was a sense of confinement . Not going on any other cruise ever.

And the shower is the smallest you will ever encounter. I’m 6ft and 210, had difficulty turning around as it seemed to be only 30” in diameter.

That's why I've never been on one. I know I would feel confined on the ship. I've thought about an Alaska cruise, but not enough interest to actually ever do it. I like the freedom to wake up and do whatever I want when on vacation. The idea of group travel tours with a schedule has also never sounded appealing to me.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach
