I have Pelican Predator boat and issues with it taking on water. I enlarged the holes just large enough to get the straw in from a can of spray foam and filled the gaps. It sealed up all of my leaks. I have a Garmin 93sv on that boat so I used a ram mount to mount the transducer since it was to large to fit on my trolling motor. I could not use the trolling motor mount because I have a 5hp Mercury on the back. My little set up is deadly for fishing under bridges.

So the first trip out (this was a few months back when it was still warm) I got caught in some wind that bashed the trolling motor mount into some rocks and broke the plastic part of the bracket. Now thinking I should have kept it on the Yak mount so i could of safely taken the transducer out of the water, you don't have a choice when it's on the tmotor of course. Plus, the honda wouldn't crank, got the carbs cleaned hopefully it will now. The power pole micro would not stay clamped down it pushed the entire unit off the boat luckily I had zip tied it to the rear hand hold. The Humminbird head unit mount I made and secured with velcro held on to the boat great, I tried to take it off and the wood screws ripped right out of the particle board pedestal but the Velcro didn't budge. Wind was so bad the lithium battery was noticeably weaker after just 5 hours. I did catch a few fish at least, will try again in the spring.
