Magellan shirts come in several different weights. I have a couple that are really soft and warm, others that are slick feeling that are much cooler. They are more about keeping the sun rays off your skin than keeping you cool though.
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

I have a real tree that was given to me. I wouldn’t pay for one. They are hot. I prefer my Tackle Warehouse free t collection. Some long sleeved, some short, some with the sleeves cut off. Many colors to choose from to match my shorts/pants.

I can’t stand to wear anything cotton. I’m sweating and it’s sticking to me in a couple of minutes.

For me it's more about sun protection than anything else.

I've been liking Poncho shorts lately. Think I'll be switching from Game Guard.

I wear the Columbia long sleeve ones when hiking and they work great - much better than any cotton t-shirt because they wick the sweat away and as bigrebar said they dry much faster. And keeping the sun off your arms is surprisingly much more comfortable. There's a reason desert-dwelling people cover up completely with light-colored, loose-fitting clothing. I've got 4 or 5 of the Columbia long-sleeve T's and I'll second everything you say.

I have tried a bunch but nothing to me is as comfortable as a Simms Solarflex shirt to wear in the Texas sun.

Love the hooded sun shirts. Columbia, Aftco and Huk are my favorites. When it’s 100, it’s hot no matter what but the shirts help keep the sun off my skin.

I like the the Huk button downs, I have one of every color made, I wear them outside working every day. I like some of the Columbia, but the tails on the button downs are too short and are always coming untucked when I bend over. I really like the Duluth AKHG vented shirts I can get them in tall sizes but there is a limited selection of colors.
