My parents neighbor parks in front of their house everyday, he does it because his neighbor next door has a tree that birds apparently love and every time he parks under it even for a couple of hours his car gets covered in bird [censored]. My folks don't mind though.

Block him in a few times with your cars, tight. So that he has to come knock on the door to ask you to move your cars. Works great. If he has a right to park on the street, so do you then.

My 2d wife did better then that. We had neighbors that held big parties 5 nights a week. She removed the valve stems on 2 tires, so the spare wouldn't help. Vandalism? Sure, but the problem was solved.

Be a good neighbor.
Put cones in front of your house till he gets the hint.

We bought a house with a garage and I demanded that we park in it. We throw a party a few times a year and people parking on the street is just going to happen for a day. But if my neighbors continually parked in front of me house, I’d be annoyed. Use your own driveway and garage.

I agree it’s uncool , we live in a rental while waiting for our house and this neighborhood is full of people that do this. They clear a spot in the middle of their garage so one of them parks in the street so the other has the driveway and garage.

When we have company I park my truck in front of the house so guest can use the driveway. One of our neighbor’s mother comes over ten times a week and parks in front of our house because they have vehicles in front of theirs and their next door neighbor.

I would love a no overnight parking on the street HOA

This issue would be less common if they quit packing homes so close to eachother.

YEP! Our neighborhood is older, but almost all the houses are on 1 acre lots and have large driveways. We do have one guy 10 houses down that had 4 or 5 kids (I know his daughter passed away a year ago, so I'm not sure how many live there now) all close together in age... so you had his truck, his wife's vehicle and then the kids started driving and had friends over. It was a freaking nightmare as this is the corner house on a curve. The previous owner had enclosed the garage to make another bedroom at some point and it never got turned back into a garage. It's better now that some of the kids have grown up and gone to college, but now I've seen 2 young kids (6 - 8 years old) around there. I'm hoping to be living elsewhere when they start driving.

Our driveway will hold 8 cars and 2 more can go in the front garage and 2 more in the back garage. Parking is not an issue. At my sister's house it's an issue and I hate parking in front of her neighbors. The neighbors are friends with my sister and her husband so they let us park in the driveway and off the street, but it still feels wrong.

Doesn’t bother me until they park directly across from my driveway.

One of the biggest issues is a lot of people have multiple families or generations of their families living under 1 roof. People don't have much money these days and are barely getting by. My neighbors and his wife have once a month or so parties, but all their guests drive higher end vehicles so it's not a huge deal. I would be pissed if I had to clean up oil spots from crappy vehicles that are not mine.

Vaseline on the drivers side door handle every time it’s parked in front of your house. Eventually they’ll figure it out. roflmao
