There you go... we rented a car out of Cancun and they gave us a WiFi module. That was awesome. We were able to GPS the island and travel by golf cart. Trip Advisor reviews as well as local word and it was fantastic.
From the ferry drop off the best beach is in the far left hand corner walking out of the ferry drop off pier.

All in all, a great trip. We flew United from Houston to Cancun. Slight flight delay that we were made aware of earlier that morning. I think we landing an hour later than we were supposed to.

3-4 planes were docking at the same time as we did but thankfully we were towards the front of the plane and unloaded pretty quickly. Customs was pretty easy and we made it to the baggage pickup before the bags arrived. The couple that was with us got caught up in all the planes unloading and it took about 30 minutes for them to get through customs.

We used Cancun Shuttle for our ride from the airport to the ferry at Puerto Juarez.

20-25 minute ferry ride over to the island. I was expecting a pretty slow ride but that boat was moving!

We unloaded at the ferry & the group hung out while I walked a few blocks to pick up our golf cart. I did have to leave my Texas license with them. I wasn't crazy about that but I guess that's what they do there.

The 4 of us loaded up along with our luggage and headed towards the house. Casa Tres Chile's is where we stayed. It's in a great location with a fantastic view.

We rode around in the golf cart for 4 days, eating and drinking our way around. We spent 1 day at the Amazona Beach Club. $40 all inclusive for drinks & food. There were a quite a few people there from different tour boats. Good place to people watch.

We ate great food, drank delicious drinks & had a great time. We never felt "unsafe" and we will definitely be back again.

We had a 1:00 pm flight out. So we left the house on the golf cart around 8:45 that morning. Stopped for coffee/breakfast on the way to the ferry terminal. We unloaded luggage and I returned the golf cart. We caught the 10:00 am ferry back across to Puerto Juarez. I had scheduled a 11:00 am pickup, but Cancun Shuttle was there waiting for us when we arrived at 10:30.

We had read on a Facebook post that the Mexican Security check was sending folks out if they were not wearing a mask. The United guy that checked in our luggage asked if we had masks. Fortunately, we grabbed a small pack of disposable masks at the store before we left. And they were turning folks back for not having a mask, sending them back out into the lobby area. Once inside, you could take your mask off and no one said anything.

Smooth flight back to Houston and pretty easy process coming through Customs.

Glad you had a great trip. Isla Mujere was definitely one of the highlights of our trip last year. That ferry ride was fun too.
