Yes, and the farmers can keep growing the food you eat.

The food basket regions are getting rain except maybe Kalifornia's Central Valley. Don't need a destructive storm for that.

Not to mention all the dried up stock tanks and no grass for the cattle to eat!

Grass ain't dyin around here. Two of my neighbors just cut hay and look to be ready to cut again in a couple 3-4 weeks. Fields are green. If all you got are a few stock tanks and no live water for your cows you in a heap of trouble anyway.

What you hope for is for many, maybe millions to suffer loss for rain on fields and pastures. Well you get that every 3-4 years and are depending on that it just ain't consistent enough for being in the cattle business. Might need a new business plan.

But crops and cattle aren't the focus of the many that post on here on this type of thread. It is getting their lawn watered for free and their fishin holes filled up.

We're not even halfway through June and it's already dry, with July and August yet to come. We can use any rain we can get at this point. No one said anything about a category 3 to 5. A tropical storm would do just as well.

Maybe you need to realize that Texas is more than just your area.

Creeks/streams/rivers that no longer run, red isn’t good.

Pot, meet kettle .

duh . . . That's exactly my point every time those that live in chronically dry areas of Texas start wishing for a tropical storm to hit Texas. Thanks for highlighting my point!

I guess the only point you have, is that you need to move where the hurricanes don’t hit all the time. Come on over to the rest of Texas and have some of the drought.

There will be another one along, about the 21st or so that may hit northern Mexico of Texas. Sand from the Sahara is blocking stuff right now.

The last time I remember us being this hot and dry in June was 2011. We all remember how that summer went.
