During the week prepare to drive 25-30 miles one way to eat.

We always stay at Elm Creek, my favorite place to eat is the Mexican food place by the square.

Alejandra’s in Ballinger I’d assume? Do yourself a favor next trip and drive another 15 and go to miles, Los Carlos is legit.

Stay at Elm Creek. Order your dinner earlier in the the day and have them put the food in your room (usually 5-6pm) and it’ll be there waiting for you when you get off the water. Microwave and good to go.

He doesn’t lie. Los Carlos is good. Beefmasters in Ballinger is also good.

stay at Elm Creek, eat a chorizo breakfast burrito before going out. Bring or use a grill and grill your dinner when you get off the water while having a couple cold ones. Relaxing at it's finest. I would NOT want to be on those roads after dark myself on the way to town to eat, never seen so many "critters" in my life. Good luck and have a blast, beautiful lake, great people.

Since sportmams grill shut down it’s back to the way it was, go to town or cook.

100% this! Especially if they closed down that Sportsman spot down the road! I ate there 1 day too...and got my beer from there. So that sucks to hear it closed down.

They also give you a hot plate. I took a giant jar of chile verde (meat and potatoe stew type thing), tortillas and a pot to warm it up in and some bowls. Also took some sandwhich stuff. Couldve made it by off just that...but after i found out theyd leave food in your room i did that after the first night and gave the chile verde to some dudes next door. Damn jokers stole my jar tho!!! LOL

Beer store and motel at sportsman is open, just the grill closed several months ago. Boomers BBQ is open Friday and Saturday and is probably best food at the lake. Steak sandwich is top notch.

Rancho in Coleman is pretty good. Otherwise, just choke down a burger from elm or concho and move along.

Never happen, lake is falling so fast it won’t have water in it long enough to support it or the stores around here.
