How many soldiers currently in the U.S. military?
Numbers of U.S. military service members vary by state, driven mostly by workforce levels at large bases. There were a total of 1.3 million active duty military and more than 800,000 reserve forces as of September 2017, according to Defense Department personnel data.

the math is on our side, how many of the military do you think would fire on americans? I doubt many at all if any would.

I use to think the same our military won't fired on american citizens. I no longer believe this with our woke leadership in the military and woke soldiers. I sure hope I am wrong.

better to have an illegal gun available than to have to bring a knife to the fight. just sayin.

I don’t disagree, but take that illegal pig gun out and a warden comes up on ya. What are gonna do?

If they knock on my door and demand/forcefully take my guns, ill allow it nonviolently. Ill strike when I have the tactical advantage, not them .

Me too. I’m pretty sure it stands for Assault Rifle though.

Emit with all due respect, I absolutely disagree with you on this. I think if it comes down to it, they will find a way to do away with filibuster and get it through. I think there end game is to take the guns and bankrupt the country, to turn us into a socialist/communist country so they can dictate what we do, This is the best chance they have had in the history of this nation. They are looking at a landslide losses in November and losing control. I don't think they won't to lose this advantage and will do anything to secure a win.

Some very good thoughts and insights. I feel along the lines of 921 Phoenix on this one, way too many soft sissyfied people that just don't see farther than what feels good in the moment as far as voting and supporting liberal causes.

I have been hearing this same "They are going to take our guns" nonsense since I was like 8 years old. That was a long time ago.

Update on that. Nothing significant has changed. No guns have been "taken". Its all hype. But boy it sure gets people fired up does it not? One of the best ways to get people at one another's throats is to talk about "taking guns".

Like I said, if they didn't do it after Sandy Hook, they won't do it now. What can be done by taking away the filibuster and be undone by the next congress. If I was a betting man I would bet that it doesn't happen in any of our lifetimes.

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

I think one of our Dans would agree.

The economy isn't "bad" for people that have some wealth.

This is a great opportunity for those that know to accumulate wealth.

These shady dems got so many things going on that are twisted and perverse that the distractors are hiding.

Service members take an oath to defend the Constitution. I think a good portion of Officers and men would hold to that oath.

NO it stands for Armalite Rifle the original designer of this type weapon. The AR 15 is the civilian version of the military . The AR 15 is nothing more than a semi auto rifle nothing more it's not a military rifle. The LR22 10/22 can get a 100 round clip and in a school of fifth graders do just as much damage. The mini 14 is the exact same rifle with different looks. The mini 14 is semi auto rifle with a 30 round magazine also. There are lots of weapons to kill people if a person just want to kill people

for any military officer or the cic to order troops to even participate in a gun confiscation would be highly illegal and unconstitutional under posse comitatus, at that point it for sure becomes a shooting war should any troops decide to follow an illegal order.

I have faith that there are more that would do the right thing than wouldn't and simply refuse to follow the order.
