Yep, switch to the Daiwa SV TW or the Elite and you will be a lot happier with it.

Done. They didn’t have any other reel I wanted in stock but it’s returned. Screw your Shimano!

I use a Daiwa Steez on an ALX Axiom and it pairs great.
Rod is as impossible as the reel

Funny you say that. I pretty much replaced all my reels with Shimano's except for two, both are Tatula Type R's that I use for A-Rigs and C-Rigs.

I use a Shimano Core 50mg on a Dobyns 743 DX. I usually have 2 brakes on and 4 off on any Shimano.

I've never had more than 2 brakes set on ANY Shimano I've ever used, usually just one. Rod makes all the difference in the world

Spinning rig with 10 lb braid and leader will eliminate a lot of problems for you guys that can't cast get a shimano baitcaster to work for you. roflmao bolt

I gave my zillions and tatulas away.

I have 2 Bantams coming this week and the Type R's will be history.

I started using the Shimano BFS reels for weightless senkos and flukes, works awesome thumb.
