The one I used was Rubio monocoat 2C pure, it does not have any dyes in it. It’s a 2 part oil finish with a separate hardener. It works great with Walnut and would probably work well on any hardwood that has heavy grain patterns. It’s a bit pricey, 50 bucks for a little more than a pint. But a little goes a long way. Look up black tail studios on you tube, he does a lot of walnut tables using the Rubio finish.
