agree with jp, pretty arrogant for us to think we are the only sentient beings in a universe that is supposedly infinite in size. now, will we ever meet them, maybe and maybe not but I do think the possibility of "probes" is real. in our little blip in time humans have gone to the moon, now working on mars and then who knows.

It's a fascinating story to tell around a campfire, like Bigfoot sightings and the Loch Ness monster. No one I know who is not a lunatic has ever encountered one. Where are the crashes? So all these objects have flown around for decades and no one other than military folks with ultra top secret clearance has ever seen any of them? There was never a vehicle that crashed in Linden, Texas or outside Scottsbluff, Nebraska that was photographed by everyday citizens and posted to the internet, or even shown to friends and/or some form of media, before government could find out about it and cover it up?

Why do these creatures come here if all they are going to do is fly around and jack with with air defenses? What is the purpose of making the trip? To merely observe? That's ludicrous.

I guess in a world where people believe a senile old leftist who almost never campaigned, and drew crowds of tens when he did appear in a library or other tiny venue, got 81 million votes it's not hard to explain why folks believe vehicles and beings from around the universe are flying around here for no other reason than to look at Earth...and occasionally kidnap some nitwit so they can examine his excretory system before returning him to us to tell of his experience.

I tried watching some of it this morning.. listening to the military officers give their misleading answers was a beating.

A guy that worked for me after I got out of the Air Force knew that I had worked on the F-22 program. When he found out that for some of the test flights the F-22 flew with some aircraft from Area 51. He asked about the aliens and alien space craft. As I told him, I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of aliens form outer space due to security rules that I had to follow, even after leaving the program. It was fun messing with him. Do people see objects flying in the skies that they can not identify? Sure. Some are easily explained, some are top secret military projects, some are never explainable, at least to the public. The hearings could be interesting, but probably not.

People believe a guy floating around snapped his fingers and created earth and everything in it. Why can't people believe in aliens?

I can see and experience Earth all day every day. Have you ever seen or touched an extraterrestrial or his vehicle? Known anyone who wasn't a nut who did?

As for where Earth and the universe came from, what is your theory? How was there nothing, then suddenly there was something? If a mass of matter exploded, where did the mass come from?

Hauntings, witches/warlocks, bigfoots, chupacabras, aliens or dependable Ram trucks....there just isn't any real evidence to support any of those stories.

Pretty much anything is possible, our understanding of the universe and stuff is pretty limited.

Why don't they just ID themselves? It's OK.

What would this government do if they determined there were UFO’s? Do we really trust them to do anything? Maybe just let sleeping dogs lie and attack the real dangerous aliens….illegal aliens.

Are you crazy? That would be like the teenagers in the horror flick not going downstairs into the basement to investigate the scary noise with nothing but a candle. It would ruin the entire story.

Logic tells me that due to the vast number of stars and planets in our galaxy, odds are that there is a lot of life going on on other planets. But to believe that extraterrestrials are visiting our planet, you have to figure out how they get here.

A. Their technology allows them to travel faster than light (scary since that means they could destroy our planet with the flip of a switch)

B. Have extremely long lifespans and don't bore easily

C. Have multi-generational space transports

D. Have developed some type of cryo-storage technology so they can sleep through the journey

And I'm probably missing a few other options.
