Anyone have the Cirro Energy Flat Rate plan? I have been using the 1000 kWh - 2000 kWh bracket plans but each year the usage levels seem to creep up for no apparent reason. Used to be only 2 months a year that I broke $300 (usually August and February); now, with the increased Oncor delivery fees, I almost never see bills in the low to mid $100 range anymore and I am paying way too much (in my opinion) every month.

Anyway, a flat rate based on historical usage sounds good, but I wonder if this is buried inside a higher kWh rate on top of which my obscene Oncor charges will be added

My company went out of business and the beneficent company that assumed the accounts put us all on a variable rate. With cost of natural gas going ^^^^ I think things are going to change for the worse in ways we haven’t I seen for years. Fixed rate plans for my usage levels are now running about 13 cents a kWh when transmission are included.

I am not sure of the plan I have but have never hit 300. When I first signed up years ago they had me pull my high bill of the year from Oncor and they said that bill with them would be almost 60% less. I signed up and have not looked back. My house is a little over 1850 sq ft and my high summer bill last year was under 130. $ I have no complaints whatsoever.

If Energy Ogre is available to you, use it. $10/month, and they find the best flat rate for you each year and take care of all the signup and change over.

Rate per kWh is up. 13.8 cents is low now. Crazy increase. It will be 30 cents, maybe more, in 3 to 5 years. Let’s go Brandon.

I use them but my current plan ends in a few days. Bill was $98 for April. I reupped with them but there was an increase. Still better than anything else I could find.

My provider, V247 Power, went out of business in April. I was switched to the POLR (Provider of Last Resort), which in this case is TXU. My rate jumped from 10.1 cents per kWh to 17.3 cents per kWh. I have been enrolled with Energy Ogre for the last several years and they are currently looking for a new provider. I'm afraid that with the cost of natural gas sky rocketing and the hard freezes over the last couple of years, the time of the low cost providers may be coming to an end and the industry will consolidate into just a few higher cost providers.

I called Cirro because I was curious about how much the flat rate plan was. My monthly bill would have doubled.
All of the gimmicky plans are just that. Free days, nights, and flex days are not free.

I wish! Ours is 3 years at 13.3 right now...but 90 days to cancel without penalty through Constellation. It's $99 if I cancel after that. I'll be watching the rates.

Can you post a copy of your bill, not the personal info, but all the charges that make up your tota bill? I wanna know when this "pass thru" non-sense started, it practically doubled my bill. Oncor (TXU) get there's now, as well as the third party provider. Seems like i noticed it at start of last contract that just ended. They ALL have it now
