Speedy recovery Hop. Hope they fixed ya up right n tight. my backside looked like someone split a football lengthwise and put each half on my butt cheeks at the crack, doc said they got over a quart of stuff drained out. 3 days of real bad constipation is what caused it. it is not an abscess I would wish on anyone, pain was worst I have ever had due to where it was. got a couple of weeks of thick pads till it heals so it can keep draining. dr. pimple popper would have been orgasmic if she got to see it.

Praying for you Hop, been there with a similar surgery, just not a bad as you. Wearing a pad and sitting on an aired up donut for 6 weeks is no fun. I spent 3 days in the hospital and I guarantee, there were no hot nurses.
Get well soon and take your pain meds as long as they provide them.

My buddy Pete up here in the Northwoods went in the hospital for what he "thought" was a boil on his butt.
Turned out to be stage 4 colo-rectal cancer. This was 2.5 years ago and he's cancer free now.
Glad you're OK hop . . . . . there's lots more fish to catch out there.

Dang, Hop...just dang...If they give you a pillow that looks similar to a donut, but isn't a complete oval/circle, the break goes to the back, not the front.

thanksagain all. I will be at the gtg, fishing the legend this weekend, I think. no pics, that brings on a very long stay in banned camp, no thanks. as for pillow, none yet but go to urologist to get catheter out thur. morning then to walgreens or cvs on the way to the lake. they had to leave it open so it can drain completely, gonna feel funny buying maxi pads like doc recommended for covering it. this gettin old stuff just keeps gettin more interesting every day.
