Looking at the radar, we were kind of in a void. Got just barely over an inch here.
Family is everything! Life is precious. We don’t have forever. We have now. This moment. We can choose to love our lives now.

Need rain very badly. My garden is powder dry and I've had poor germination of seeds in the ground, especially purple hulls and butter beans.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Looking at the radar, we were kind of in a void. Got just barely over an inch here. That is what my rain gauge shows but it is partiall blocked by a tree limb so who knows. I would have guessed a bit more as hard as it rained then more storms last night.

Not only did we get well north of 2+ inches, we were without power from 7:15 PM last night to 5 AM this morning. It was a pretty decent blackout for this area. Based on FB chatter, it was a lightning strike that took out a transformer. Blacked out 3-4 cities.
One thing I learned....I need to hire or design my own drainage around my septic area. That water sat way too long without my pumps running the water out and I have a river on one side of my house.
Time to shell out some $$$, yeah us.

Time to shell out some $$$, yeah us. Man o man. If we weren't so far away. This past fall I dug up the old drainage system which was completely filled with dirt and ran all new lines. Every time we would get a good rain like last night, the house would flood. Look up Gate City Foundation on Youtube. Might give you some good ideas.

Need as many ideas as possible. If not, I'll be paying some one, which I hate to do as my man card is strong.
