This season has the least amount of Poa I've ever seen. My mom's backyard is typically full of it and has very little. My next door neighbor most has so much I could mow it 1/8" and it would look like Torrey Pines greens and he has maybe 5 pieces of Poa this year. I think the record warm December screwed up the germination.

Next 2-3 weeks it time to get your GrubEx out. GrubEx does not kill existing grubs in the soil. The June bugs you see flying around now, as they lay their eggs on the soil and the grubs try to enter the soil it kills them. The other big thing it does it prevents army worms. And last years army worm outbreak was huge. GrubEx needs to be watered in very well so if you don't have irrigation get it down just before a good rain chance. I'm waiting for Amazon to run their $15 a bag special. I'll post if I see it. If not I'll just pick some up at the box store in a couple weeks.

Hey Derek, will Triazicide work as well? I wouldn't trust it for grub control. I would use it for surface insects like ants and fleas. Triazicide is Gamma-Cyhalothrin. The downside to it is pest can become resistant to it. That goes for a few insecticides. Always rotate your insecticides, don't use the same product over and over. Look at the active ingredient(s) on the bag and rotate 2 or 3 of them. If you want to kill active grubs in the soil you want to use Dylox. Sold as Bio Advance Grub Killer Plus at Lowes. If you were to call a commercial company for grub treatment, Dylox is what they would apply. It needs to be watered in very well immediately after applying.

Not bad for mid April. Another 4 weeks and I should be golden. Last mow was 5 days ago. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/04/full-5845-135714-e174fdf5_e79f_426f_9d08_d083cddd6008.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/04/full-5845-135715-e211048e_7089_46c2_a603_9e7cf8c64ac2.jpeg)

Ammonium Sulfate and a non ionic surfactant. I would try and save Celsius for a June or July application. It doesn't have a temperature restriction and the hotter it is outside the better it works. Depending on what your weeds are and if you are needing a winter weeds clean up for spring either the orange or yellow label spectricide will work well right now. Perfect temps to apply it right now too. For bermuda grass.

You can put it out now. Make sure it is labeled to using on St Aug. Also read the application directions. Most weed and feeds need to be applied to damp grass. Label will explain it.
