I really like the Falcon LowRider "Swim Jig" 7'2" Medium Heavy Casting Rod | LFC-72MH. It's more parabolic like a crankbait rod. It might be a combination of your line and hook set motion. You will get a better hook set if you set the hook more like a jig (upward) than a crankbait to the side. It's hard to do since you feel like your cranking and that's the typical hook set.
Also your line may have too much stretch. I throw mine on 50# braid. I really like the vibration it transmits and the hook ups I get. It pairs very well with the rod. Otherwise, you might try using fluoro.
I would try your All Round set up. The gear ratio is a little faster than I would use but I think you will have better success on the hook ups.
Do you run straight braid? Yes I do. The only draw back for me is when it’s really windy. It hangs in the wind more. Makes it tougher to keep your line out of limbs, etc. when making tight casts.

Thought I’d update for anyone who cares.
I went to BPS to lay my hands on a few specific rods- the Falcon Bucoo Trap Caster , Falcon Bucoo Swim Jig, and the St Croix Mojo glass rip n chatter. No lowrider sat BPS and everywhere has been out of stock on lowrider swim jig.
Of the three, I definitely liked the Falcon Trap Caster. The mojo glass was like broom stick. Way too fat for me.
On a whim I picked up a St Croix premier 7’ MH moderate and really really liked It. So then I spent 30 minutes standing in the aisle researching them and learned that the Mojo (not glass) actually has a better blank SCIII vs SCII (whatever that means) than the premier and is $20 cheaper. Plus the premier I had in hand wasn’t even on the St Croix website so I didn’t know if It was discontinued or what. Yes I over analyze things.
So I picked up the Mojo bass 7’ MH Mod-Fast (they didn’t have a moderate) and ending up going with It. I think it’ll be perfect for my needs. Thin and light, not too wippy but still good bend, cheaper than the Premier, and only $146 after tax and military discount.
Got to the car and noticed it’s actually the spinnerbait model (didn’t see that on the split grip in the store). Either way, I think it’ll work good for me for Chatterbaits with braid.
Thanks all for the recommendations. They got me pointed in the right direction.

All fishermen are different and it is a lot of trial and error even if you have what seems to work good and you still try other applications. I have used a Falcon Lizard Dragger rod for my chatterbait and even though my setup worked fine I did switch and started using braid. After a while I finally realized I was loosing fish by pulling it away too quickly on the hook set. I could really feel the bait the way I throw it because I stick with just the old Original Z Man Chatterbait because I seem to be able to really slow it down and work it a lot in an area without having to reel it too fast and have it dart all over the place which is the way a lot of people like. I like this especially if I am coming by a dock pole, stump, wall etc. When I decided the braid was not working for me I switched to Fluorocarbon line and that seemed to work pretty good but for some reason for me personally that line just has too much memory for me and when you backlash as much as I do these days I always felt like I had kinks in my line and did have some issues with breaking that line. That is why I finally went back to what has been my original set up for many years and that is using McCoys Mean Green 15 lb CoPolymer line. My set up for me does seem to catch decent quality fish and this line is strong enough to hold up to anything with almost no memory at all and I feel like it gives the fish a chance to really enhale the bait before I really feel it and I get decent hook ups with it.
