Maybe Russ was in a bad mood but usuall he's not, the Ish guy is a dick.

They need to fish it in Jan or Feb.

Ish is cool, he's one of many that go into great detail of what he's fishing, and why. I only wish the cameramen would follow the frog being worked, instead of the rear of the anglers working the bait offscreen. That's my only beef. A few do it a bit, but usually they get blownup on when the cameraman decides not to in that instance. ;/0

My interactions with Ish have all been great. Seems like a super nice guy. A couple of years back I shot him a message about a body of water in CA near him that I was gonna fish. I was asking about guides. He replied with some great info and his recommendations were right on the money.

Rode with both Russ Lane on Conroe and Ish on Lake Travis. Both were in the hunt. Good day on the water with both of them.

Only two days over the years riding with the pros I wouldn’t want to repeat. Shin Fukae, weather was horrible and Mark Rose just didn’t care for him much. Rest of the days have been pretty interesting.

Set to ride again at Fork this year.
