Shimano Stradic if it’s in your price range.

The Runcl Merced 2000 & the Titan II 2000 Series are sleeper reels! The Merced has 10+1 bearings and smooth as silk with a 5.2.1 ratio. Excellent line capacity with a textured spool for braided line if you decide to use braid & priced for the working mans pocket book. Endorsed by Sgt Chris Gill of Asleep At The Reel youTube videos. He also has a discount code available of 15% I believe. I purchased two Merced 2000 `s before his endorsement Video wish I had waited but still a Quality reel under $30.00 ain`t too bad at all. Check em out on Amazon

For the money your going to be hard pressed to do better than the President IMO. I like those and the Shimano Sienna 1000's although I don't get much life out of them but for $30 they're hard to beat!

I've been looking for a new crappie/blue gill rod and reel. There are so many options. I've looked at Pflueger Trion, President,. Shiamno Curado. Abu Garcia cardinal SX 10, Diawa Sweepfire. . I'm still researching but in the mean time I went down to Walmart and bought a Lew's Lite Speed Ultra Lite Spinning reel and a Shakespear 7' mirco series rod $40 combined and I'm pretty impressed with what I got. I think it'll last a season of two.

Fishbonz, Thanks for the info on the reels. I have marked them so I can order a couple in a couple of weeks. I was looking for some nice reels to replace all my 1000 reels. Tired of all the little reels I have. I like dock shooting and think the 2000 size would be better for me.

Pair em up with your favorite rod and GO snatch a few.
