We need some warm nights with temps in the high 60's. We had had several warm days but the nights are still a bit chilly. I think the spawn has just been late this year due to the weather. FYI we have been catching crappie in different waves since end of feb and all of March as we are seeing little to none now. The cold nights didnโt effect the bite as they was there we would back off the banks stick and move move and stick and as it warmed up say about 9 am or so they moved up ๐ n the banks. Also found a good mess every time on brush tops in the middle of the creeks. Look a lot of you guys sit around and talk about the spawn and waiting all I got to say is you are waiting to long get out there and put the time in as tge spawn is wrapping and now we are shooting them docks. Go get em. !

Been fishing it hard myself and haven't caught a spawned out female yet though I am fishing Aquilla and several other area lakes. Many males. Not sure if the weather is the issue, dropping water levels might be. That said I have caught plenty and will be switching over to catfish soon.
