I have never hit someone else's trailer but my wife has. The last time was at the Fisherman's Cove ramp last year a few days before the Skeeter owners tourney. Honestly I don't think she realized that she had done it as she absolutely refuses to watch the trailer. I started walking up to the parking area when I saw the collision and she asks " what's up "? I looked at the Skeeter trailer and it being all steel had no damage my BassCat trailer having fiberglass fenders had the starboard side looking pretty bad. I left my number on the pickup windshield. Later in the evening the owner called me and said he couldn't tell where the contact was made. He was staying at the Cove so I went and saw him and he said all was cool. They had Georgia tags on their vehicles and I asked them if they had been to Fork much. They said no this is our first time. I got their map and circled all of Hop's favorite spots and they were happy with this. I couldn't tell you how many signs and poles she has clipped with the trailer. I replaced the fender on my trailer and was about $1,000.

My trailer got hit at Grapevine a few years ago and the note on my truck was from a witness the person who hit me did not leave a note. After finding out who owned the trailer and contacting him he said he didn't hit anybody but he said he would look at his trailer and call me back. It turned out that he had let his girlfriend back the trailer in the water and she admitted to the accident when he confronted her. I have no doubt that this guy would have done the right thing if he would have known about it at the time. He ended up paying for the damages. How did the girlfriend look?

Had someone hit my trailer at the HWY 66 ramp, there were several witnesses and they saw a guy put a note on my windshield and didn't think any more about it. The guy did put a piece of paper under wiper but it was blank. The witness said he was going to get his lp # but when he saw him putting note on truck he didn't do it.

I'd rather them break in than mess up my rig. They may get some dental floss (not that the meth heads would use it) and some chewing gum. They could use it to make a necklace out of their teeth.

Protocol would obviously be leaving your contact info so you could get your insurance info to the person whose trailer you damaged. Sorry that happened to you. Unfortunately, I've seen many posts like this over the years. ^this^ That’s what I would do to

Looked like she had been hit worse than my trailer....
