So I was going through some tackle boxes my father in law gave me to see if there was anything I could use for yak fishing and came across this old metal Sears and Robuck tackle box and got to go back in time thought some of yall might appreciate it.

It breaks my heart to know I had most of those lures at some point and have lost most of them.

I am too old as I can also name most of the lures: River Runt, Lazy Ike, Hula Popper, Jitterbug.

I also see a Pico Perch. First lipless crankbait I remember throwing. The lazy Ike put many a fish in the skillet, too, when I was a kid.

Sweet find!

I haven't said Pico Perch in about 50 years... checked online to make sure there was such a thing.. sure enough that is what you have... someone is selling one for $125, in the box. roflmao

History of PICO, aka, Padre Island Company.

https://www.mybaitshop.com/blogs/blogging-at-the-bait-shop/pico-lures-a-short-history-of-the-company

"PICO is one of the oldest lure manufacturers not just in Texas, but also in the nation. The year was 1933 and the Great Depression had a stranglehold on the United States. Corpus Christi resident, Fred Nichols, carved a cedar wood lure resembling the salt-water piggy perch. It proved successful when used for speckled trout and other salt-water game fish."
