There is a stump to the left of the center of the picture that will have a 12.23 lb spawning on it so use a suspending jerkbait in fire tiger and twitch it by the stump at 5 foot deep and she will be all yours. Do you see it? Make sure you use a Marinara cover scent and you can also tip it with a little piece of Calamari. Trust me it works, just ask Scagnetti. What Color? Chose a color that looks like a Cannoli (Duh!). Good calamari works every time If all else fails, go get some pizza at Vinnie’s Pizzeria right up Rte 9

Me and you are thinking the same on the chatterbait. Right between rattle trap and jig is the boat ramp. I planned on putting the ole 36 volt 112MK on high and scooting over to the chatterbait area first thing and also work the rip rap and concentrate on the culvert to the next pond. Spinnerbait slow rolled ticking the rip rap.

I would talk to some of the locals or people at the tackle shops, dont tell them your in a tournament though. I bet you can muster up some good advice. Good Luck & Hope you win....show dem yankess how we do it in Texas.

My yankee buddy likes jigging spoons deep on long points for pre-spawn SM. Find them with live scan.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Incase anyone was wondering, I zeroed! Very humbling. There was a 16#, a 17# and a 18# bag weighed in. Big bass of 7 and some change. I went shallow and pitched jigs at stumps, should have payed attention to what everyone else was doing, they were fishing the 10’ to 15’ range. Found out they were drop shotting and using jerk baits, two of my least favorite things to do. Also, this was a trolling motor only tournament (very common on most of the lakes here) and the wind was a stiff 15 to 20. We took off and some of these guys were hauling azz! I got there late and most all of the boats were already in the water, it wasn’t until the end when people started loading up that I understood why they were so fast. Look closely, half of the were sporting these.

Last I remembered you were living out by Lake Limestone.
