Good lord that was boring. I rarely which MLF. That’s not going to result in me turning it on more.

Post front, rising cold water makes it tough. Last Saturday I fished all day and didn’t get a bite.

Went to the expo today, it was very cool, great rod and tackle deals and got to see and meet a ton of pros, as well as Michael Waddell.
Lots of kids stuff to do, worth the price of admission (free)

hit the expo yesterday with my son, I was impressed. Lots of pros attended and the best of the best everything tackle to boats. Lowest price boat I saw was 77k, I mean who is buying new boats at those prices.

I would recommend a visit if your in the area, stayed for the postgame show and watched the anglers come up and talk about their day, that was pretty cool.

lot of criticism on another forum comparing the expo to the bassmaster classic...below is a reply by basscat boats that should stop some of the criticism...also we need to keep in mind that number of people attending the weigh in or the expo is just a tiny fraction of the people who watch the ten hours of TV coverage of this tournament...

below is basscat reply to critics of the MLF expo....

REDCREST Expo
After day one we are impressed and we made staff plans for more help today.

With the inaccurate post below we felt a solid honest post might offset the post with some reality.

We dropped into Tulsa not knowing what to expect with the first indoors Expo for a REDCREST event. Coming in we felt having 25,000 through the doors over three days would be spectacular. And we honestly thought yesterday might actually be a bust.

Yesterday was a phenomenal day one. It’s in no way Classic busy, but a nice flowing crowd through about 3:00 PM. Right off the bat at 10:00 AM people were lined up waiting to get in. This center is extremely well laid out inside and outside, and parking exists on all four sides. They stayed in their vehicles until the doors were slated to open, as it was cool, and they flowed in when they did open. The easy access was nice.

After a day one we were impressed and they certainly advertised this event heavily across a six state area. We had guests in our booth today from Nebraska, South Texas, Mississippi, California and more areas that came in see the Expo.

There is a very small space of unsold display area and the upper floor is all that was planned to be in the Expo. The lower area where the “Chili Bowl” sprint car race is held was never rented or planned to be a part of this.

Yes, naysayers or not and we were wonderers ourselves, we are calling Day One a Win for MLF.

A negative to the small field size for the 2nd round is that when fishing is tough, the Live coverage is going to be rough! They need more Anglers fishing to increase the odds of someone landing on them.

Almost unwatchable yesterday and today.

The expo was really crowded today. Very impressed with the booths from Berkeley, Strike King, Nitro, BassCat, Power Pole, Garmin, Toyota, and many more. Lots of freebies and chances to get pictures taken with the pros. Rick Pierce was very cordial- I didn’t tell him I hate his designs…😆, but you could admire the fit/finish/quality in his boats for sure. Mercury had a massive booth. Big kids area for those with younger kids. All in all it was well done.

I tried my best to get more info on the Power Pole TM and the guy in the booth was pretty tight lipped. Only he said is the deploy/stow is conventional like an ultrex, built in lowrance transducer and very “high quality” components. I asked him if the shaft would move independently from the head- good for a livescope- and he said no it’s like the other TM’s on the market. He did claim it will be by far the quietest TM.
