Just got the email that my Ghost will be delivered Friday. I will be installing it myself. Any tips or tricks I need to know? Thanks.

Start thinking about where you want to mount the puck. Get your NMEA network ready if you are running one. Check how you will hook up the power and if you will need any terminals plus tools to crimp them.

A second person makes the job much easier when attaching the motor to the mount.

A second person makes the job much easier when attaching the motor to the mount. +1 There a couple of clamps that hold the cable to the bracket and I also used two zip ties on each one to help secure the cable in place.

A second person makes the job much easier when attaching the motor to the mount. That’s my suggestion too! And not your wife/girlfriend. Those things are a little heavier than they look! Take your time. Read the directions thoroughly, from page 1 to the end. Then check that you have EVERYTHING you will need on hand before you begin. Plan for the blood to spill when you start removing the old one and installing the new one. The inside of a bow of a boat is gonna make you feel like Stevie wonder juggling ginsu knives. When you haul [censored] to the lake to try it out…bring the owners manual so you can calibrate it and trouble shoot it. And program buttons, etc.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

also go through all the bolts on it and ensure they are tight, had one installed from the factory that came lose not long after owning it. The one i had was on the swing arm that drops into the base towards the rear when stowed.
