I started fly fishing when I was 8 and didn’t have a lot of money to buy fly tying supplies, so I often used what was available. Borrowing cross stitch thread from my Grandmom was a good option. roflmao Lots of colors are available and you can make a great worm fly with them. They are still working half a decade later. I rig them Texas style or add a stinger imbedded in the tail for sunfish. I picked up a bag of cross stitch thread at a garage sale the other day and made a few. I caught this yesterday. grin
