I would personally stay away from the whopper plopper myself lol. I’d have her toss around a black spinnerbait and a senko

My wife used to kick my butt on Lake Fork sitting at the console reading a book and dragging a Culprit tequila sunrise worm behind the boat, Texas rigged with a 3/16-ounce weight and 3/0 hook. They'd even go to the trouble of setting the hook for her because they'd nearly jerk the rod out of the boat with it leaning against her shoulder. She did this every time we hit the water together literally.

I agree with the spinner bait suggestions and drag a 1/4-3/8 oz. C-rig.

I’m thinking about having a couple whopper ploppers tied on some braid for her to just blind cast and reel all night. thoughts???? Here's my thoughts since you asked. Before you tie the Whopper Plopper on take a pair of needle-nose pliers and mash all the barbs flat. That way it will be much easier to pull out of your head when she sticks in in you.

Black spinner bait w/ a hubcap sized Colorado thumper in gold or copper…hard to hang up and catches fish. Slooow, slow thumps. I'd go with this^^^^^^^ maybe black & blue

Tie on a Carolina rig, make the leader about 2 feet. She can cast it out once and just drag it along. That is how my wife got started fishing with me. It is easy and she will eventually catch something.

Good pic brother. My suggestion was going to be either a weightless fluke or a wacky rig with a weedguard . When my wife used to go to Fayette with me that is what she would throw and always catch some, then sit back and suntan.
