Taking some of my wife's friends from Wisconsin fishing this weekend on Conroe(Cagle area)....has crappie spawn started? Any recommendations or tips appreciated as I have not been on Conroe in many years and never been on the North end of the lake!.

Haven't been out for several weeks but it ought to be started or starting by now with water temps coming up.
If you've never been on north end of Conroe, have a good map and stay in the river channel from the Cagle bridge down to almost the 1097 bridge. There's plenty of timber just below the waterline at full pool.
