Sorry to Burst your bubble, but we have no supply problem. This is pure speculation and price gouging. We also currently have over 9,000 approved drilling permits issued to US companies. They aren't using them because they would rather profiteer off the war.

9000 permits yes, but they will not approve drilling until all the paperwork is accepted by the epa which it is not. I can say you have a permit to fish here but not until I approve everything do you really have the ability to fish.

Just because there is a permit to drill somewhere doesn't mean there is oil there and it costs a lot to get the other permits needed and get set up before they can even find out if there is oil. IF there is oil then they need more permits and land leases to build a pipeline to move the oil. All this takes time and money and many times no oil is there. And a bigger problem is why invest a lot of money when there is a good chance Dems will want to shut them back down in the near future?
