There's always a few mixed in. We never really differentiate on Texoma since they are naturally occuring... We have also been catching some magnum sandbass...

This was our last live bait trip of the year! With the weather and water temperatures getting colder, we are switching to blended trips deadsticking with artificial lures and also mixing in live bait as well. When live bait fishing, we attempt to spotlock and use our thumper to bring fish to our boat. Once the fish start showing on our graph, we will cut shad to get the fish fired up and ready to feed! In our first spot, we brought fish into the boat and had a few fire up, but we were not getting anywhere near the number of bites we should have. We switched to our second spot, spotlocked for a few minutes and then released the spotlock and started drifting. That little extra movement on the baits enticed more bites. We use Reaction Tackle indicator braid to show our exact depth and 2 oz weights to hold the bait at that exact depth. The thumper is critical to getting fish to investigate and come to your boat!

Wow! That's a nice bunch of fish! Being new to the Texoma lingo, what is considered the reference point(s) of where "North" and "West" begin. Is there a "mid-lake"?

I launch at Little Mineral so to me, North is Alberta Creek or Further North and West is West of Juniper Point...

Ed is out for a few weeks and I sat out the wind today but the fishing was pretty good mid lake! Got some reports from other guides that they were catching fish mid lake which is awesome! Ready for the shad spawn to get them fired up!

I for one appreciate your diligence in keeping the TFF 'ers posted with reference to big T fishing reports. Fat, fat, and real fat Stripes.
