I just bought a used HDS 8 and when unpacking I glanced at the transducer and it loks a lot smaller than the ones I see in pics. Not sure what Gen the unit is but a side image/downimage transducer looks a lot bigger than the one in the picture I added The letters on transduce cable are HST DFSBL Will this transducer get the side and Down image a HDS 8 should get? You have a Gen-2 non-touch unit. The transducer in the picture is a 2D Sonar ducer. What you have will provide Sonar and Chart. If that is all you need, the unit is an old unit, but a good one if it still works.
