You ever hit Elephant Butte? I think that trail USED to go there....right?
It did for many years, took it off about 2006. Back in the early days even went farther West. Jay Yelas and John Murry fished it some back then. Yelas won the championship the year before he went big time.

I can show you where the fish 100% dont bite (my spots) so you can go to better waters  I heard a lot of the other NM trails HATE the butte and why they dont go there. I dont blame them....its a grinder. Holler if youre ever around though....senkos on me
