I’m no expert on dermatology but my dermatologist is, I’ve had 2 squamous cell carcinomas cut out, one on my hand and one on my cheek. He found another one last week and having it cut out March 28th AND March 29th. He said this was a larger one and set aside 2 days to have it removed. So I get 2 days of fun. Why he can’t do the whole thing in one surgery doesn’t make any sense. But as I mentioned he’s the expert. They ain’t fun and they go deep and no pain medicine on the 1st two. Told me to take Ibubrofen or Tylenol. And that chit throbs, ibuprofen/Tylenol doesn’t really work but I’ll make it through I reckon‼️

Hey Coach ,
When the Dr's do MOHS surgery , they try to remove the smallest amount of skin and keep " margins" around the tumor . I had a MOHS surgery on my right temple area , they went in three times to check margins .
Each time they would cut for about an hour , then I would wait in the lobby for them to check margins , then I would go in for another hour etc..... all combined , 4 1/2 hours of surgery to remove what looked like an eraser size tumor . The scar left behind was almost 2 inches long when done .
Best of luck , hope they get it all

My doc ended up going straight medieval on me, carved a hole in my leg the size and depth of a decent fishing pond and no stitches since it was so big and the skin was too tight in that area. No pain though since it is on my stroke damaged leg, so at least I got that going for me smile
