In a catch, weigh, release tournament, if you catch a 10 lber off a bed does it make sense
to sit on the bed and wait to catch the same fish again?

Most tourneys take the fish from you after weigh in. It is typically released either at the weigh in site or taken out into the middle of the lake in a live release boat and dumped. I would bet most 10 pounders will not go back to the same bed if you caught her a few miles away within the timeframe of the tourney.
otter be a seaon on it like northern states do on some fishes , 2 months no bass fishn during major spawn period for certain lakes , think about it
I guess I am curious as to why you believe that....I have been around here for a long time, and lakes like Fork, etc keep putting out quality fish and we are allowed to fish during the spawn. I am really curious though...has it been proven somewhere that this works?

Character is who you are when nobody else is around.

No amount of tournament money or ribbons could tempt me to do that.

Thank you, my thoughts exactly ! I used to be the worlds worst about pestering bed fish, they have a hard enough time as it is without me adding to the stress. I just don't do it anymore.

No need to fix what ain't broke. 100% different climate and growing season from here vs. up north. Leave the north rules up north.

Fisherman might see 5% of beds on a lake and that's stretching it.

Vast majority of spawning fish get caught by bank beaters versus actually sight fishing. People just assign meaning to what they perceive. We "think" sight fisherman have an impact on a fishery when it's actually just everyday guys beating banks catching tons of fish off beds they can't see

I agree. Too much stress at a critical time in her life.
