Thinking about doing a 1st time trip to Whitney next weekend. Looking for recommendations on places to stay close to the dam area, preferably with a decent ramp and boat slip. I was about to book a cabin at Little Rocky Lodge but read a review that the boat ramp was pretty sketchy and the slips were quite a hike away. Thanks!

Try White Bluff resort. They have cabins & condos for rent & the absolute best marina on the lake. Security keeps an eye on the marina so you don't have to worry about your boat.

We have 2 new cabins that are less than 2 miles from Lake Whitney Marina and 5 miles from McCown Valley Park. [Linked Image]

OP,, last time I was there stayed at Cliffview , very much enjoyed it. Good ramp, great covered/uncovered slips, close to the dam. Would certainly use them again.

Buddy: I'm interested in White bluff. Are they back open for rentals? they were closed down for a few years?? Legal stuff? I poked around using google maps and could not really find anything than linked to any kind info on rental accommodations. I guess you just have to call? Any advise?

OK, found stuff on White Bluff, thanks anyway, probably too pricey. But Cliffview was great. and just a short run to dam and main lake for OP.

Alright appreciate the input. How long ago did you stay at Cliffview?

Been a few years, they had just started the major remodel so now I think the prices are a bit higher. The facilities are probably some of the best as far as " closer to the dam" There are a few other decent places I think,, but not so close.
