See the hot blonde in the photo Butch from 2008? She just brought me a sandwich and freshened up my cup of coffee.

Don't make me beat you down with more pictures of paradise because I will.

Wife and I got married down in Riviera Maya. Had about 20 family members join us then had another reception back here for everyone who couldn't make the trip.

Don’t go and tell her you will try to make the next one.

Think its hilarious calling it the "Most selfish thing ever" its so much cheaper to have a destination wedding... weddings in the states cost way too freaking much, wife and i paid for ours but could have paid 1/10th the price to go to mexico and do it. Wedding aint about everyone else, if you dont wanna pay dont go. Tough stuff

You look a little like John McAfee in that pic.

My son married a girl from Italy and me and my wife, his mother, and my daughter went to Riccione for the wedding. It was unbelievable and memorable. After they returned to the states, they had a reception in Dallas with dinner and drinks for all their friends. I thought it was the best of both worlds without asking people to spend a lot of unnecessary money traveling.

We go married across the street from our house on Padre Island, 2 family members.

Sand, surf, beach, me, her, her daughter, my daughter, and some stoned hippie chick we found on craigslist that would marry us for $50 bucks. Best weeding ever. (I've had 2)

Son and his bride got married at Yosemite a couple years ago. Just invited immediate family and a few of her cousins. They provided food and housing for everyone - just had to get there. The spot where the wedding took place (overlooking Half Dome) had 30-minute time slots that had to be booked months in advance; it was like a matrimonial factory.

80 yr old Memaw dont want to go to Mexico. think about that. TRUST your friends and family are NOT HAPPY about your "destination" wedding.

I would be a hard NO !!! I got married 38 years ago and it cost me approx $6K out of my own pocket ( total cost , food , booze , music , hall rental etc.....) To this day , I consider it the biggest waste of money I have ever spent . $6K in 1983 for a 22 year old was a TON of money .
I gave both my kids $25K for their weddings , told them they could spend it how ever they wanted , house down payment , newer cars , pay off some debt etc...... They both had very good weddings events , we enjoyed them both --- but the money would be better spent on other things .

I just think that $900/nt for a hotel room is stupid I don't care if it's all-inclusive. I can't drink that much worth of booze in three days
