I have been using a Dobyn's Kaden Series 735CB with 30lb braid with great results.

Price point $150.00ā¦. I busted my Kistler Sunday and Iām outside the 5 year warranty window, Iām taking suggestions for a new one. I primarily use 3/8 and 1/2 ounce Jack Hammers Look up FXtreme rods and choose the one you want. Then go to Sportsmans Warehouse to order one. I love these for moving baits. I have several different models to throw chatter baits, spinner baits, swim jigs, regular crank baits, deep cranks, and large swim baits. I really like them for that.

ALX Rods Zolo Rumble. It's a mix of graphite and glass. Has a perfect tip to cast, skip, and allow the fish to eat your bait, but then has the backbone to get them out of grass or cover. Made in the USA and very high quality! https://alxrods.com/collections/zolo/products/zolorumbleThis. Rod is perfect for your application but it is a little heavier with the added glass. It is a little beyond your price point, but if you can afford a jackhammer you can afford this rod. I like everything about how the Falcon Lowrider fishes but I have broken 2 swinging small fish into boat. The only two rods that I have ever broken while fishing in 40 plus years.

I've started to really like the ALX rods. Have several Zolo's and they have all been absolutely fantastic. That said, I do not have the Rumble for chatterbaits. I experimented with a lot of different rods for chatterbaits-all glass, all graphite, blends....and the one I had the most success with is the Dobyns DC 735 CB GLASS. And that surprised me because I don't necessarily like full cork handles. There is something about the way this rod loads up that beats every other rod I've tried. I can't remember the last time I lost a fish on this rod and I fish a chatterbait a LOT. It may be heavier than other rods because it's all glass but it's not a noticeable difference to me. And the 7'3 length helps with longer casts when you need it. Most of the time I'm pitching it around heavy cover similar to a spinner bait and it works great for that too.
