Some of you MF’s need to get a life. RB is not my fav but he and Johnny are helping grow the sport and you bring smart [censored] comments like this. Just keep it to yourself dude.

I stand by my comment and have told him so in the comments on his YouTube videos- and my full name is there for him to see. When you post videos complaining the lakes are too crowded with tournament fisherman- from the parking lot of the boat ramp during practice for a tournament then you are a baffoon. When you constantly complain about property owners getting rid of shoreline vegetation on Grand you are a baffoon. He complains cause he used to be able to flip bushes for a limit 25 years ago and fails to keep up with the times and catch fish offshore.

Admittedly I’m new to the forum, I’ve read little here and a little there for years but never in depth….with that said the running theme that I pick up on constantly is the Googan hatred. Most is never really explained just basically stated as fact and left at that. This thread seems as good of a place as any…why do SO many hat their baits? And I mean specific reasons. People who dislike them personally, BS get over yourself, those dudes whether you liked their personality or not took small channels and blew them up and then turned their luck into its self and it worked. It’s truly an American success story in my opinion. But that truly has nothing to do with their baits. I also hear people say every thing is a copy…if that’s fact then why aren’t the sued…because some of their key features are unique to them. Also complaints about plastic being too soft, most of that has been addressed in the past year or two…but if a bait catches fish who cares! If I buy a pack of 10 bandito bugs and catch 10-15 fish on them so be it. Better than a bag lasting for years because you never change baits because nothing bites it.

I will also agree they have a ton of young “affiliates” and personally I don’t care for any of them. Only two Googans I really enjoy all of their content is JonB and LFG

What we are doing is clearly working if a bunch of grown adults are spending their quality time writing comments about it. The honest truth is Chris is a solid guy who has wanted to build something great and hasn’t had the opportunity to do so. So we are giving him that opportunity and the actual ability to accomplish that goal. Was an entertaining thread to sift through but I can also guarantee that Chris isn’t losing sleep knowing there’s people who have “lost respect” for him for using a different companies products. In the end he is doing what everyone on this thread wishes they could do for a living and that is fish. Goofy stuff here but not anything I wouldn’t have expected

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Bet you wont see any clap back comments on that response from one of the master minds himself!!! Keep doing you and re-inventing the industry from the ground up! I'm excited to see what comes from the squad this year with your recent post about getting back to the original guys more.

PS, enjoy your content too, just not as much of it lately.

I think he’s been with them 20 years.

It’s not just this forum that people bash the googan thing, it’s all fishing forums. I’m guessing it’s because they are the newest kid on the block, if you’ve been on any fishing forums for any length of time, you’ll remember how people used to make fun of Jacob Wheeler. Loud, young, flat brimmed, over confident…then Wheeler just started kicking azz and never stopped, people quickly stopped talking badly about him. It’s just human nature for people to pick on the new kid.

Now the bait copying, that was real, but it’s not like they are the only ones that are doing it. BPS has been copying baits for years and selling them under their name. But I still get why guys were bashing Googans for it.

I don’t hate the whole googan thing and I don’t love the googan thing, it’s all neutral too me. They seemed to have built an empire and that’s great that they accomplished that in such a niche sport. Point being, many on here (and all forums) run their mouth’s just because they are bored, not because they truly care about what Chris does and that’s the same reason why they bash the Googans.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Zaldain goes on a tear in 22. Hard to argue against the success of other googan sponsored pro’s.

Another thing that I have actually experienced on this forum is folks coming home in the evening; having a few drinks, getting on here and going on an alcohol charged tear. I had a guy do that to me a few years ago; I don't even remember what we were discussing. I posted a reply to something and apparently the dude went off on me, never saw the post because he got up the next morning and took it down. He sent me a private message apologizing and he explained he'd been drinking.

For me I personally like all of the Googan crew individually. The problem IMHO is their products are junk. A few of their plastics are decent but everything else is garbage. Hopefully Zaldain can help.

That all sounds great. I'm just picturing Chris's first tournament with you guys. MegaBass SV3 in one hand and a Googan spinnerbait in the other. Hmmmm. Which should I throw here to help me win. Or maybe he has already won. I'm sure you can see where actual bass fisherman are conflicted here.

What is a megabass SV3? I’d say the majority of anglers have no idea. Megabass is so niche it’s almost hard to take them seriously in a broad sense.

My point exactly. Googan has done a wonderful job of attracting the masses. More power to them. Affordable price point for Chinese mass manufactured junk painted in a way to catch the eye of the fishermen. Kuddos to them. Like I have said before. Anyone who fishes Megabass knows you get what you pay for. Googan baits are no exception. For Chris to suddenly drop all the Megabass products that helped make him the success he is today and start throwing walmart garbage just doesn't make sense to me. Who knows. Maybe he is just that good. Doubt it.

Not interested in a debate on what Megabass users know, but I’m old enough to remember when everything from japan was called junk. Remember quantum/zebco? Fine Japanese craftsmanship there. I also don’t get wound up about the finest handmade custom crankbaits from the southeast with meticulous paint jobs, the fish just don’t care.

As far as knockoffs? Everyone does that, including megabass.

More power to ya. Will be waiting for any pro to throw away his Vision 110s for a Googan jerk bait. Why not? The fish simply dont care.

PS. MegaBass does knock offs? Interesting. Why because they make crankbaits and they didnt invent crankbaits?

I get it. You are a fan. Nothing wrong with that until you start inferring that your opinions are facts.
