The new Nitro's have great storage and overall features.

Have they stepped their game up since the Triton / Ranger deal or are they the same old Nitro?

I seem to think they have. Still not a top notch builder. Go climb around a nitro. Look at the details. They’re average.

Have a friend with a new (2 yr old) nitro. The plastic is all warped up looking from the sun, carpet is super thin(cheapest stuff), seats are already coming unstitched. It looks like a 20 yr old Skeeter.

My partner had a newer Nitro Z21 that personally I thought was one of the best built boats I have seen. I crawled all around it. Not a defect anywhere. Was great to fish from and loved the layout. I would not hesitate to buy one if I was in the market.

some guys beat up on nitros to make them feel better about spending more money for the boats they own.

I’ve never rode in a nitro but have crawled around in many when we were looking at buying a boat a year ago… I wouldn’t buy one personally just from my short interactions with them. We settled on a 2020 Skeeter FXR21 limited

They are built better than they used to be. I'm convinced Morris's master plan is to merge all his bass boat brands eventually and Nitro will be the lone badge.

I ran one a long time ago and I have had 2 of the newer ones. No comparison! The new ones are great boats. I had a Z20 and currently have a Z21. The 20's have lesser grade carpet and it does show wear within a couple of yrs but as far as the boat never had a problem. The 21 is my favorite boat I have ever run and I have had about all of them and had 8 Rangers. Other than normal use scuffs my 21 looks and performs just like when it was new and this will be my third season out of it. I bought mine at Pro Choice in Mo. and those guys rig a boat right and that has alot to do with it. I haven't had one issue with anything on mine. I will buy another Nitro Z21 from them when I am ready. Rides great runs 70 and fishes great. All for 20k less than some.

Well said! I had a Nitro for over 8 years and it was great, never an issue with anything. I have owned most of the major brands in my lifetime. I have never owned a perfect boat.

You get what you pay for. I’ve owned several. Don’t plan on owning them again.

It was late 90s and early 2000s when Nitros had hull and fiberglass related problems. Unfortunately, that has followed them for years even though they corrected the problems. It's been almost 20 years since you have heard major complaints about Nitros. Most people who actually own one are happy with the boat.

Happy with my 2021 Z20. Not perfect, but neither was my skeeter.
