A lot of it's good, but you can only say God is great so many ways, and it all sounds the same.

I'm not sure I would agree with that at all.

Read Jeremiah Chapter 17- think of Jesus and all of his speaking in parables- you had to be a thinker to get his message, the emotional always missed it. Look at Paul and all his writings to the Gentiles.

The parables were meant for simple people to understand. Certainly not for thinkers.

Correct. You have one verse that says trust in your heart, another says the heart is above all deceitful. That’s where we get in trouble when we get worked up emotionally. The parables required you to think and not act emotionally- by thinkers I didn’t mean people of higher intelligence.
