Please give your opinions of Garmin vs Lowrance....looked at both units as Bass Pro. I have always had Lowrance (ever since my paper graph) But Garmin has an appeal lower price larger view! Please help me decide between the two!

Unless you have a Lowrance Ghost trolling motor, I’d go with Garmin. Higher quality images and a better value.

Certainly cheaper to get into a Garmin. From the video’s I’ve seen it looks like whoever’s prostaff the video producer is on is the best. The two look very close to me. I’m looking real hard at buying one or the other right now. Being I’ve always ran Lowrance I would prefer to stay with them but they cost more.

If you have the ghost trolling motor go with Lowrance. If you have garmin force go with garmin. If you have Bird just pick one that you thinks best fits your needs.

I ran Lowrance forever and loved the ease and simplicity of them. I bought a new to me boat last year that came with two 10" Humminbird units on it. I like them a lot just not as simple to use as Lowrance. I went with Garmin for Livescope and a Garmin 102SV for the screen. I'm getting it installed this Friday and can't wait. They're all good but this unit is gonna be dedicated for Livescope most of the time. Keep in mind you might need a new mount if you have an existing unit up front. I went with the 5" dual rise from Str8up Mounts. https://www.str8upmounts.com/product-page/5-dual-graph-mount I also bought a LifePO4 12V 30A lithium battery w/3 amp charger that will be mounted in a rod box for dedicated power to the Livescope. https://ampedoutdoors.com/collectio...fepo4-replaces-20ah-same-size-and-weight You might also want a Perspective mount adaptor. Hope this helps!

They are very very close to each other. I run active target on my 16" Carbon up front and it's A+. Zero complaints

I have always had Lowrance, but 20% of the screen is used by the menu bar. View on Garmin is larger not to mention $500 cheaper...not sure why Lowrance is more expensive for smaller view.

You know you can hide that menu bar

Yep. First setting I change on my Lowrances. You can hit the menu key, make a few adjustments and it will go away in about 10 seconds.

My Garmin gave great images, but having to run 2 graphs on the bow of my boat is a PITA. I’m having to sell the Garmin and go back to a single Lowrance. I sure hope the AT is good enough.

I run Lowrance but you can’t go wrong with either.

I couldn’t be more pleased with my Lowrance set up. It’s been extremely eye opening so far. Good luck

Both very good, Lowrance can see further out in my opinion. I expect Garmin to update and put out a new product soon. Maybe even a live clear panoramic view. I expect that to be next

At least in this video, Garmin looks to be the best to me.
