Congrats Dawg.
You should invite Hop over to do the chores while you sit by the pool and post in the OT.

Congratulations, Dawg. I can already see that pool water reflection from the sunlight so bright and clean looking that even you may start liking it again. I know there's pool boys. Have you thought of hiring a pool girl?

Good news, enjoy it. Travel now, not later.

Congratulations. It’s a minefield, so chose your steps carefully and you will have a great retirement life. The people telling you to travel early are exactly right. After I retired I spent 5 year traveling all over the world. With the way things are now, I would not even attempt it.

First off, Congratulations on getting out of the rat race. I am sure by the end of March you will have a lot of things lined up and have answers with those things that you are wondering about today. I have been straddling the fence for a few months myself if i want to retire or not. Financially I can, mentally I'm not sure I want to yet. I see the guy across the street, well really down the road through the open fields and he looks like he just walks in circles trying to find something to do. He rides his tractor through the pasture doing nothing, maybe looking for a rock to pick and carry down to the creek and throw it in. I am only 63 but insurance is not problem as I can go on my wife insurance anytime I want. I really don't know why I do not retire but I just hate not having to get up and have something to do. Plus I like my job,I can come and go as I please pretty much. I don't know, it scrambles my pea brain even thinking about it writing this post. I hate that feeling not knowing what I want to do sometimes. I might go home and talk it over with my dogs, they listen pretty good and sometimes gives good advice as long as I keep feeding them some treats.
