My favorite time of the year for big fish is late January through March! Always excited to see what this time of year holds. Show some of your monster slabs off! Here's some of mine and my clients and friends fish over the years in this time frame. I'm for releasing these fish. I'm not a fan of the Fork and LOP rule of keeping them all but oh well. That's a soap box for another time! I've got openings the last week of January, and some weekend and weekday dates in Feb and March if your wanting to try and get after the big girls!

I love it when you set the hook and the rod loads up and nothing really happens then it slowly starts to come up!! Be back after the big mommas next week! Getting some boat maintenance done this week!!

The kid in the middle of the table of fish is holding a 2.95 and a 2.75. The smallest of the 6 they were holding was a black crappie that weighted 2.33. East Texas will spoil you!

Some of those fish are very familiar!!!! Seems water temps are higher than previous years so far! I've already seen several 3# crappie and double digit bass this year!!! You're going to need a chiropractor!!!! Crazy cool!!!!!

Yes sir!! Plan on getting you a few more this year! Got my sights set on a 3 pound black!
