Banker: The Blue Hole was still producing very well today. Fished a solid 2 hours today and had really good results. Hardly any folks there today.

Limited out in Fredericksburg at Lady Bird Park. Fished there two days after the stocking. Really had to work for them.  Also fished Live Oak and limited there. Also doing well on both the Bluegill and Redear, during this latest warm spell. Cold front is knocking at the door. This will slow the sunfish bite down for sure. Side Note: Berkley Trout Bait-Yellow in color got the job done! Fish would not hit my Super Duper at all in Live Oak .

Thanks for the report, Mr Banker. I have caught every rainbow on my usual SDL setup. Yesterday was my best day at BHP GTX. Fished a full two hours. Very, very slow retrieve and that’s hard for me to do! Don’t think I’ll be fishing for a few days. North wind is brutal right now.
Next up for me will be Kingfisher/Bullfrog ATX OR Miller Park Pond in Temple.

Wow how time flies. Rainbow Trout, sunfish, and catfish. Great way to start the year. What are your expectations for 2022?

They are stamped Super Duper 502. Only difference is they do not have the prism decal or whatever you call it. I’ll report in a day or two if they catch fish. Made in China. Great post Chuck. Now is the time the sunnies are starting to play. Have you seen any nest yet?  Side Note: I was able to pick-up a bunch of Super Duper Lures the 502. A company in the Northeast was going out of business and I was able to buy what they had left. A GREAT trout lure for sure.

Thanks Curtis for the reply. The sunfish bite has picked up and they are getting more active each day. I have not seen any nest on the water bodies that I have fished. It will not belong. The spawn will be coming very soon.

I had heard from other anglers that they have seen some nest this past week. I personally think the spawn will be in full mode later this month.
