Yes, it is a little cooler, but talk about humid. It was super muggy outside here this morning. It has been a whirlwind.

Briefs on wife Elena & daughter Helen-
Helen is still OK in Bucha (next to Kiev).

Elena is awating confirmation or not, of her 6 month visa. They said she would give her a call in 50 days. But some say that sometimes it takes longer. The nights are a little cooler. Electricity coming & going seems to now be a normal thing, as hot as it has been.

I am still building on that other bedroom & bathroom for my Mom which will be a Hoveround electric chair friendly.

I have fried more catfish, but have not had enough spare time to chicken fry some as planned awhile back. Surely, life must slow down sometime.

I am still looking back for a previous catfish article note to pass along.

Since I have not been to the lake to see if the drought lowered Lake Limestone anywhere near like 2011 did, I wonder if "The Giant" had to move out into deeper water. But hopefully with the recent rains, he will return to his old stomping grounds (paths).

Lynn's Catfish Calendar [LCC] October 2022 (10-8-22 Sat. PM):

We finally got a tad cooler. About time.

Briefs on Ukraine, wife Elena & daughter Helen-

It seems due to the bombing of the bridge from Russia mainland to Crimea between the two seas (Azov & Black), of which Russia used amphibians (no bridge back then) to cross back in 2014, was bombed. Putin & others seek revenge or retaliation claiming Ukraine committed a terrorist act.

Helen is still OK in Bucha. Not sure if she ever replaced her windows that were blown out. A lot of people haven't & winter weather is coming up fast.

Elena is still awaiting confirmation or not, of her 6 month visa. She got queried by the police in the nearby city. The nights are a little cooler. Last couple of days this past week were very hot once again (about 108 F). Electricity went off & on for 7 times one day in the past 2 weeks. We are hoping she gets to visit the Sphinx soon, as it will be cooler. And the pyramids too.

Yes, I am still building on that other bedroom for my Mom which will be a Hoveround electric chair friendly on the weekends.

I have not had time to search back for one or two catfish articles to make note of. It just seems as the old saying says and goes- "The hurrier I get, the behinder I get."

Consider yourself very lucky if you have the time to get to get out there & fish. I have all the stuff needed to map out the 2023 Catfish Calendar, but you guessed it, I have not had the time to sit down & do it yet.

Lynn's Catfish Calendar [LCC] November 2022 (11-8-22 Tues. PM):

Let us hope we have a more moderate change to colder weather, instead of being slam-dunked into chilling temperatures, like last year. So far, it is fair.

Briefs on Ukraine, wife Elena & daughter Helen-

It seems Russia has resorted to taking out power plants affecting everybody there.

Helen just replaced one main broken window about 3 weeks back & said it has made the apartment much warmer. They are supposed to come back for the other windows (I guess slight damage). But she is dealing with electricity & water outages, as noted above.

Elena finally got her 6 month visa, but since 2 months had passed, it only has 4 months left. She just took a bus Saturday late night into Sunday early morning from the Nile delta area (about 38 miles from Alexandria & the White Sea (Mediterranean). She arrived in Hurghada and has moved into an apartment by the Red Sea. She can go out on her 2nd story balcony & turn left & see the sea. The Landlady is to be back tomorrow (9th) & hopes are to get internet in her apartment. In this area are quite a few of fellow Ukrainians to assist.

Still building on that Hoveround friendly bedroom for my Mom on the weekends. I think round 2 on the sewer hookup is one day this coming weekend.

I rounded up those fishing magazines, but no spare time to glance thru & see what to share.

If you can't go fishing, let the fish come to you. Eric & Kristina said turtles were eating theoir beef or chicken liver, but brought me about a 2# CC (ChannelCat). It's cut up, boneless & already in a zip full of frozen ice.

Lynn's Catfish Calendar [LCC] December 2022, Pt. 1 of 2 (12-10-22 Sat. AM):

I finally got my combo license. What a treat, as my cost went down this year, as I am 65 years young now. Now if I can find the time to use it. I bought my niece & nephew's daughters new rod-n-reels for their birthdays. They really like it, but have not gotten to go lately, but hope to soon.

OK, for December, I am having to do it in 2 parts. Here is the first portion- December. I am not quite finished mapping out the 2023 year, and then my PYC days. Then I will post Part 2 which will give a glimpse into January 2023.

But what I can tell you up front, is those going for BlueCats in the winter, especially January, there is one heavy concentration of BC days. So if you are going for Big Blues, or a mess of Blues, that would be a one week dream vacation singing (fishing) the Blues. It reminds me of that one Blue run by Dave up in Oklahoma. The kind where you have to build a ramp to get the ice chest off of the back of the truck. Looking back, I thought it was a 6 or 7 day run, but it is a 5 day run. And a fairly good run in February 2023 of 4 days. Most people refer to February as being "Big Blue" month.

Briefs on Ukraine, wife Elena & daughter Helen-

Russia continues trying to hit power plants & civilian targets. But also suffering many casualties.

Helen still is dealing with electricity, water, and heat outages, more so since last time. She will go when electricity is on to pick up Western Union at the bank from me, but by the time she gets back to her apartment, it seems electricity & such are already out for awhile. She said she dresses warm.

Elena, it seems, is in an outer suburb of Hurghada (just to its north)- El Gouna (this area has a lot of 5 star hotels) & is not as crowded or overdeveloped as Hurghada. She is in an apartment (big room) in a 3 story hotel still under construction (for only $250 a month). The 3rd floor is still not roomed in yet. She can walk out on her balcony on the 2nd floor & see the Red Sea (bluish waters) to her left. She said she has never had such a November, as Ukraine it is always cold & sometimes snow. But here it was very warm & breezy with plenty of sun.

Still building on that Hoveround friendly bedroom for my Mom on the weekends. About to close off the ramp inner roof in the carport & move the outside door halfway down the ramp.
