When I was in HS we had a big sr party at our lake place. Most of the guys, some of the girls, a few parents, good food and some hidden booze in tackle boxes. Our whole class was less than 60 people, so most everyone was there. Fishing, toobing, swimming, playing guitar and stuff. It'd been going on all day and most of the kids & parents who weren't just real close with us had left until it was about 5 or 6 guys, and my dad and one other. My buddies and I took off in my bass boat and headed up the creek, when the lakes up you can get all the way back to a big land bridge, that was our hang out. Anyways we're doing what goofy sr boys do and finally start running low on supplies, so we start heading back, only to come around a corner and find my dad, and the other, stuck in the mud in their ski boat. We had to tow them back across the lake, which was quite the adventure, thankfully they'd brought a cooler and all was good in the end. We all ended up staying the night and had a awesome dinner and huge breakfast. Like it was all meant to be. The other dad passed away the next year, I've always been glad we got to hang out like that.

Had a layover in Dubai going back to Germany from iraq for emergency leave in 04. Been in Iraq for 10 months with no alcohol. Stopped in a local pub down from my gate, ordered a pint of Guinness and I could literally feel it going through my veins. Started talking to some big dudes at the bar who were on their way to the rugby World Cup from Britain. I drank 2 pints and I was fubar. Oh the good times

On my first solo vacation 40 years ago, at a tavern in Berchtesgaden enjoying a glass of Koenig Pilsner that took 5 minutes for the bartender to draw the beer from the keg. Still one of my fav beers.

Most memorable...My first beer on my 16th birthday. Sat with my parents and Grandma (mom's mom) in a park. Had MGD and it was awful! Had another and didn't remember the taste from the 1st one. Later that afternoon went to my Grandparents (Dad's parents) house where my Grandma made me a full on German spread and we had a few more beers. Ate like a king! Next morning woke up and realized what a hangover felt like.

1983, Howard AFB, Panama NCO club. 3 floors of fun. Full of AF, Army, Navy and Marines. Saw the most epic brawl ever. Pure pandemonium.

Several of the Yorkshire Bitter beers on draft with my dad and his brother. Tetley’s and Theakston’s are two of the more well known ones.
Not a Yorkshire bitter; but Fullers ESB is similar and available here.

Mine was one beer with my grandfather. I grew up watching him listen to the Rangers in the kitchen on a radio, that looked a lot like the one on Gilligan's Island. when they opened the new "old" ballpark. I got 2 free tickets from one of my vendors. The only live ballgame he had ever been to. To watch his face in awe as we walked in was amazing. Later as the beer guy came by I asked if he wanted a beer, cause I was getting me one. It's the one and only time I ever seen him drink a beer. We sat behind the dug out, a few rows up. I watched him, and he watched the game. I bet we didn't speak 20 words a piece the whole night. Man how I miss him. What a great story!
